    full auto H&K MP5 fun

So I have a friend who is a federal law enforcement officer and he invited me to shoot his MP5 today. Boy what a blast I never understood the fun involved in full auto till today. Now I am hooked. Too bad I live in CA.

In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

Well in Semi auto that thing is a tack driver. My groups did open up a bit in full auto though.

Isn't it amazing how 30 rnds go in about 1.5 seconds...When I lived in AZ many of the guys had Full Auto rifles. At 12-15K per sear / sear pack It's more than a hobby..

While in the police academy on our last range day we got to play with some toys, a full auto M4, a .50AE Desert Eagle, FN Five seven....

But the best one was the .40cal MP5. I have never had more fun shooting a weapon ever. Period.

There seem to be two schools of thought here on CG. One school says "full auto is fun!" The other school says "full auto is nothing special, a waste of ammo." For me, I think the only reason why I'd consider it neato is because we are specifically not allowed to own it...

Heck yeah super fun! MP5 mag dump takes about 3.5 seconds though, glock 18 dumps in 1.5 sec

OK Turby I used to be from the second school. I am now joining the first school of thought. There is a zen like experience in controlling the full auto burst and making little cut outs on your target instead of being all over the map, although there is probably some merit to the "specifically not allowed" argument.
