    Bipod height

i'm going to get a Harris swivel bipod but i was wondering about what height to get. i want something that is more for the feild, not really interested bench shooting with this rifle. i need it high enough but not to high so i was wondering what you guys have for heights on your pods, and what are your likes and dislikes if any about the height you have?

Get the short one 6-9 inch adjustable. Get the pod lock attachment also.

i have the 6-9 swivel on my 10/22 and the 9-13 swivel on my 223

i would get the 6-9 ........ if you are going to take "sitting" shots then you would need a taller one.

Honestly, if i could do it over again, I would get the 6-9 instead of the 9-13. I shoot mostly prone and 9inch is plenty for shooting prone in the field. And when I want to use it on the bench, I would put it at 6-7"

I'm 6'2" about 190 and I like the extra bit of room I get with the 9-13" in the field...it helps me get behind the rifle easier...for my benchrest AR, I use the 6-9"
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
        Come on...what harm??

            9-13 Harris. I feel too cramped with a 6-9.
            Insert something clever here.

I wondered the same thing before I ordered a swiveling Harris bipod. I got on my bedroom floor with my rifle, held it at about the height I thought I would be shooting it from, and then measured up from the floor with a ruler. It worked fine once I installed it on the rifle.
