Not sure what you mean. I use mine until I'm ready to shoot.

Thanks .. u answered my question.... but I could c one using the bikini while in the dirt. To protect the optics.

I think that would depend on if the bikini is the see thru variety or not.

If it isn't see through you'll have to remove them in order to use the scope. Flip up lens covers are not the same as a bikini scope cover. Flip ups are always mounted to the scope, most bikinis require removal prior to using the scope.
