I just picked up my Sig 522 from my FFL and when I opened the box (it was still sealed from shipping BTW) and beside my rifle I see this... 
First the background, I purchased this BNIB from an FFL in New York off of Gun Broker. He did all the red tape to ship to KA in 2 days and we did the transaction after he got the info from my FFL and he shipped Priority Mail it to my FFL the next day (really fast shipping). I asked about the mag, since it was a 22 rounder and I can't have "evil" mags in KA, and he said he would disassemble or pin it or something. Well, I guess that's the something.
My question is.... why would an FFL, or anybody for that matter, destroy a perfectly good BNIB 22 round mag that he could sell on GunBroker or something. I understand he can't sell it in New York cuz they have the same goofy "10 round" law as we do here in KA. I also understand that he cannot sell/send me the mag unaltered (and he knew this). What I can't understand is why send it to me at all if he was going to destroy it? Do you think he was just "Loco in the Cabesa"?
