Utah CCW as second form of ID for PPT

Called Turners today (Chino), trying to PPT a little .38 to a buddy of mine. The employee on the telephone said they would not accept the Utah CCW permit as a valid second form of ID...

Is this correct? It's a state issued ID, with a photo and current address. I don't see why not. Is this another case of Turners ignorance?

    Thanks

maybe because your signature isn't on it?

Just for fun I used my Utah CCW as an ID with my credit card all over Austrailia and New Zealand. No one cared except one lady said "hey your signatures not on this"

      yes, as the regulations state,

      d. "Other evidence of residency as permitted by the Department of Justice" means either of the following:
      1. A current, government-issued (city, county, special district, state, or federal) license, permit, or registration, other than a California Driver License or California Identification Card, that has a specified expiration date or period of validity. The license, permit, or registration must bear the individual's name and either of the following:
      A. The individual's current residential address as declared on the Dealer's Record of Sale (DROS) form.
      B. The individual's address as it appears on his or her California Driver License or California Identification Card, or change of address attachment thereto.
Just about any non-resident CCW should meet the letter of the regulations. However, I could see CADOJ saying that when they said "state", that they meant California, not any of the 50 states.

the regs do not state that it must be signed.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Thought of that too, however, they did ask for a utility bill, or car registration, both do no have a signature on them.

        Thanks by the way...

They are just being lazy dickheads. I use my 03FFL routinely for this kind of stuff. Some people just don't want to be bothered with it, I had Ade shut me down on this too. It is wrong, but what do you do, stand your ground, make a scene, be an even bigger prick in his store? None of it is any good but I can tell you this, it soured me on using Ade's services.
