San Diego County Target Shooting Areas

I just bought a mossberg 500 and want to run some rounds through it but I heard Orosco Ridge is closed for a month due to road reconstruction. Does anyone know of other San Diego county areas that allow shooting (other than ranges). Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

The only place I have heard of besides Orosco Ridge is in Jacumba to the east. It's an hour east of san diego. I don't remember the directions but you can google it, very close to freeway.

I think that's the one that got closed last year right? Or are you talking about another range? When I looked it up, it came up with Carrizo Creek range that I heard closed due to Boarder Patrol complaints. Is that the one you're talking about or is there another one?
