    Combat training for IRS agents

This article grabbed my father-in-law's attention:

In paragraph three it says: "The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to purchase sixty Remington Model 870 Police RAMAC #24587 12 gauge pump-action shotguns for the Criminal Investigation Division." Later in the paragraph it mentions that they will only buy firearms compatible with their existing "combat training."

Guess I better pay my tax bill huh?

IRS 'Combat Training? Hum, what is next, SWAT training for security guards? Makes as much sense.

Just part of their friendly neighborhood door-to-door collection program; just like it was done centuries ago.

Well, tax evasion was ultimately what brought down Al Capone.

I am sure I am prejudiced, but I know where you can get a better shotgun, or at least a better stock.

These are nice shotguns. I wouldn't say better. They have short barrels. For what they do I can see where it is an advantage. For home use, I would much rather have an 18.5" or 20" barrel so I can have more capacity as I would not have others backing me up for my self defense at home. The other do dads you can buy.
RIP Louis Awerbuck. I miss you and your training.

Ahem. I guess you are not aware that the IRS regularly cracks down on some dangerous criminal organizations, many of them trafficking in narcotics.

                        Here is some reading material:

You read that and you tell me if you'd rather knock unarmed at those suspects' doors.

Arming the IRS? Very amusing... like how they handle paperwork on a "timely basis."

And it's totally necessary for the Internal Revenue Service to do this, because we don't already have local police, county sheriffs, federal marshalls, FBI, BATF, DEA, etc., each with there own high-risk operator teams ... oh but wait, we do have all of that .... never mind.
