    I have a buddy who has a .45

Its a .45 Kimber and its pretty nice... Curious has anyone made a nice .45 100% on there own or off a 80% style?

Been looking for frames... So I went to

    List updated 04/28/15 12) AR-15A – $225.00 ea. 2) AR-15B – $225.00 ea. Sold Out) Sig 228 (226, 228, and 229 can all be made from this frame) – $300.00 ea. Sold Out) Ruger MK1 – $30.00 ea. 20) 1911 – $335.00 ea. ** Special order runs of over 100 pieces can be requested. Please […]

$300 for a frame if paid with dollar bills or $20 if paid in silver?

    WTF?

I know its late and when I am tired it is like being drunk... Curious what am I missing..?

Trying to see if I want to build a 1911...

    Thanks

Maybe you should look at the top where it says:

While we are required by law to accept FRN's (FRN = Federal Reserve Notes), we prefer to accept payment in gold and silver coins.
As an added incentive, we offer a discount on orders paid with Gold/Silver Eagles.

Our monetary denomination for Gold/Silver Eagles is the face value (fv) of gold and silver coins as described in the Constitution.

Payment can be tendered in Gold/Silver Eagles or FRNs.

    SILVER
    Silver Eagles - $1 sfv (1 oz.)

    GOLD
    Gold Eagles - $50 gfv (1 oz.), $25 gfv (0.50 oz.), $10 gfv (0.25 oz.), $5 gfv (0.10 oz.)

It's a BS SWHTF type of situation where some people object to fiat money and prefer bullion for payment for its inherent value. These people are in the severe minority.

As explained above, that would be TWENTY silver dollars ($20 silver), where each silver dollar is 1oz silver (currently hovering around $16/ea).

So, if you want to compare straight normal-person dollar amount, it is $300 (cash), or $320 (silver coinage)
