Do I really need an action block if I want to replace my FF tube on my upper? Is there another way I can do this without purchasing one?

Is is for an A2 or A3 upper receiver?
I did a complete A3 Vltor build that had the all in one w/ hand guard rail attached with two pieces of wood and a bench vice. Just turned the receiver side ways in the vice. I had to do it this way because this upper would not find in my receiver block. I did this to install the barrel.
If the receiver block would have fit I would rather have used it. The Brownells one works great and I even use it to replace the FH with a muzzle brake because the barrel vice scratches up the barrel.Last edited by PLINK; 02-27-2007, 11:34 AM. -
