Did back to back PPTs at Oak Tree in Newhall yesterday (bought one, sold one). The store was crowded, one of the clerks was already doing a PPT, the counter guys still hadn't had lunch (2 p.m.) but they cheerfully and quickly did the PPTs. No drama, no fuss, bing-bang-done! The fellow who used to run Pony Express handled the hands-on part and was very pleasant and polite. Also their new pro shop looks great and is very well stocked. Give them some business!

I've only recently visited to do the PPT for my new Winchester 1300 (out of jail on Wednesday!). Bing bang boom outta there in a jiffy and the dudes were super awesome. I'll definitely be going back for some shooting... and to pick up my gun, which I bought from the awesome guy above me.
Thanks Topgun7!!!Comment

I've done a PPT before at oak tree. Getting the paperwork done wasn't too bad. Picking up the handgun after the 10 days was a different story. Took them roughly 30 minutes to find my pistol. Then they actually made me go through the safe handgun handling demo before I could walk out. Not that I mind, but I had explained that this wasn't my first rodeo. Did it anyways. That alone took at least 30 minutes as the gentlemen actually explained how to clear a jam, squib loads, how to aim, etc etc etc. Just way too indepth. I just nodded and smiled.
Don't get me wrong, great guys, very nice and friendly. But I would call the service anything but fast, at least that one time for me anyways. To women and gunpowder!

Oak tree is nice and been there a few times for trap shooting. Wanna go there again soon since it has been a long time and actually go at a time where their bar/grill is open."Legitimate use of violence can only be that which is required in self-defense." Ron Paul

That is my primary place to go. Randy is always fast and knows what he is doing. I go in there tomorrow to pick up 2 new guns and shoot some skeet after work.Comment

^I'm meeting up with some folks to plink after work tomorrow also. I may throw the citori in the car too to shoot trap.
I have one of the preloaded trap-cards that I need to use up. Unless someone wants to buy the balance?sigpicComment

And to not go off track at the thread,
I have done multiple PPT with Shawn there. Always fun. Always good. I get a little teary-eyed there cause he remembers my Grandfather everytime he sees my name.sigpicComment

I'm pretty sure they are, but for OLL in the antelope valley I found a kitchen table FFL who rocks. I'll likely be dealing with him from here on out for my bang bang purchases. To women and gunpowder!
