    9mm IMI ammunition

There's a sale on IMI 9mm, 115 gr fmj ammunition.
$59.97/1000. Is this stuff any good? By my calculations, that's cheaper than I can reload for and about 1/2 price WW whitebox.
    Here's the website:

    Thanks,
    Keith

It's JUST NOT POSSIBLE to get new Israeli anything for 6 cents a round. If it sounds too good to be true...

    What's the headstamp read??

Real Israeli ammo, however, is always welcomed .

The Trader Sports ad for the IMI 9mm @$59.95 per 1000 was in ERROR. It is a box of 500. A retraction was printed in the San Jose Mercury and ANG Newspapers.

You simply can't MAKE 9mm ammo for that low - reloaders can't get to $60 for 1000. Too bad! If it were true, that would have been an awesome deal!

I've heard of some prior problems with American Ammo awhile back. Eric the Ammoman (Ammoman.COM) sold it for awhile, I recall, and he seems to have gotten into some legal tiffs with them when he reported some issues w/that ammo to his buyers.

I cannot see how they relate to IMI unless they bought some IMI brass, etc.

Real true-blie IMI 9mm is great stuff (as is all IMI ammo). Back in 1999 I converted my preban AR into a 9mm CAR15. Tried to run it with PMC ammo but it just wouldn't cycle properly - failure to feed, eject, etc. Turns out PMC 9mm is kinda anemic; IMI 115gr and 124gr 9mm FMJ cycled the CAR just fine

That's the truth, the hi vel 9mm IMI black tip that AA marketed a few years ago was made for the Uzi, 1300+fps and no cycling problems~!

I have fired some of the black tip IMI out of a Sigma 9mm, probably not a good idea but my friend who was watching me do so said the ejecting empty brass was glowing almost red hot!

American Ammunition I'd reccommend everyone stay away from, I've actually fired some in cettain calibers in certain gns w/o problems but overall poor qc puts me off. I really don't know how they stay in business but you could say the same about some commercial reloaders and Wolf.

They get a lot of bashing on the internet, some of it justified, but they still seem to sell a lot of it.
