    Teaching newbies, camping, shooting, Where?

So I am taking 15 of my friends out shooting this Friday night. Not one of them has ever shot a gun before. Weird, I know.

I am basically going to get 15 people hooked on shooting, and I am bringing out all of my weapons.

Many, many years ago my father taught me to shoot out near Joshua Tree/Yucca area. I have called the BLM and they are not sure of the area that I refer to to verify that we can legally camp and shoot in that area. They also did not offer any help.

Can anyone help me out with a camp and shoot area that is out of the public eye in this area? PM me please. I will give a steel gong target to whomever can help me out. The gong is 12x12 and 3/8" thick.

I can also PM you the area that I think is ok.

    Thanks!

BLM lands, you can google it and they have spots where you can shoot for free. Or you can rent a range at Burro or Angeles.

I take my new friends to Burro and rent a range, since I am a member there is pretty easy. If you get a good range like the TAC range, there is plenty of spots.

That is a bunch of people to take out by yourself. Be safe and I hope everyone has a good time. I would offer to give you a hand, but I have plans Friday.

I used to go camping near red rock canyon state park. Google schmidt tunnel or bickles camp and you will find the area I am talking about, might be a little cold this time of year though.

I seriously hope you can get at least 3 or 4 experienced helpers.
I took 4 newbies out one time and that was a handful.
Just waiting for their turn for 1 on 1 instructions took quite a while.
With 15 people, they're going to have too much idle time and probably
                will be bored.
