    FALs

Whats the difference between these? Ive just started getting into the world of rifles and I dont know much. Ive been looking into fals however and ive heard great things about dsa's models. Why do all the magazines on the 3rd site look so short compared to the other two?

    Picture #3 has a fixed 10rd mag.
I would go with the Enterprise rifle. If you are local to SoCal, you go directly to Enterprise and have one built.

post this in the centerfire rifles section and i'm sure you will get the rifles discussed extensively.

pictures of 1 and 2 are 20 round mags (not CA legal)..3 is a ten round mag (CA legal)

But why Todd? Also it says it's built using imbel parts. Are those good?

Imbel parts are great and I second the +1 for Entreprise FAL's. I have one I got from Turners for $899 and its just as nice as a buddys DSA for $1799. Your choice.

But isn't the dsa version modern and overall just nicer? Can I buy a rail system for the imbel. Is it as accurate? The dsa site makes their rifle seem like it's better. Someone respond soon please.

The rifles you linked to are all metric type FALs - the rifles on the last DSA page are pictured with California compliant fixed 10 round capacity magazines.

Enterprise is a California manufacturer and make a good product.

DSA makes the closet thing you can get to a new FN FAL in California.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

                      Nothing wrong with Imbel parts.

As to FAL vs AK-74 that is up to you. Just remember the FAL was the right arm of the free world for years. Go to the closest Turners and hold one or find someone going to the range with one and try it. FAL's are big and heavy and not for everyone.

Ammo will be cheapest online. However, you will not likely find any 5.45x39 locally (at least yet anyway).
I got my .308 surplus from Military Gun Supply online. It is the tarnished German surplus DAG. However, every round has gone bang and none of the cases split when fired so I'm comfortable shooting it.
                      My 2 cents.
