    Lincoln Gun Exchange - Review

    Everyone,
I had to head back up to Lincoln, Ca to attend a wake for a family member last weekend. Two good things about visiting family up there are the Casino (Thunder Valley) and the local Lincoln Shooting Range. I did not have the opportunity to visit the range this trip (time constraints) but did manage to find a new Gun Store in the heart of Lincoln called the Lincoln Gun Exchange.

Upon entering I was warmly greeted by the owners, Randy and Helen Johnson. First off... and I want to make this very clear... I was actually "greeted and welcomed" upon entering their store. None of the "what the hell do you want", blank stares, or total dis-interest I have met at other stores.

I walked up the the counter and was suprised to see AMMO! They actually have AMMO. The prices are right on base with today's market and the selection was good.

A nice selection of new and used (consignment) rifles and handguns also graced the display cases. Not the largest selection mind you, but this is a fairly new and smaller shop.

I can say that I expect big things from this small store in the near future. The owners are genuinely interested in the sport (and the future of it) and understand that customer service in this industry is paramount to building a following.

I brought up CalGuns and out comes the Sport Utility Rifle Flow Chart and Bullet Button paperwork. He is deffinately looking into carrying the beloved Sport Utility Rifles in the future.

I really enjoyed my time chatting with Randy and Helen and will be droping by everytime I head north for a visit to watch the shop grow. We even joked about the shop's slogan.. "The friendliest gun store in Lincoln".

Just thought I would give a little head's up to those in the area about something we all need; an honest, welcoming, helpful local gun shop.

    Regards,
    Mike

Thanks for the review! My wife and I are moving up there in June. I look forward to shopping there.
St. Gabriel Possenti, patron of handgunners, pray for us.

Because of this thread, I made it a point of stopping in next time I went through. My appendage (my 2 year old son) and I went in as Randy (I'm guessing) opening up the shop.
Randy was very nice to us and explained how he plans to "retire" from his full time job in June (I think he said) to make the gun shops hours more regular.
He has a nice selection of pistols, rifles and accessories and his prices seemed very good/fair.

On a side note he has a LCP in stock for a LEO if any are looking for one......

I'll give them a call to see if they're open tomorrow.
I'm still looking for some consignment guns that I
        would like to own.

        Thanks,

Geez, I'm a member of Lincoln rifle club and I didn't know there was a new store in Lincoln.

              Gotta Visit.

I wonder if they can get me Glock 20.
