NROI Course

Palm Springs Gun Club will be holding an NROI course in the near future and are are looking for approx. 20 people to attend. If you are interested and would like to get your Range Officer qualification, please send me a PM and I will put you on the list.

We are looking at holding the class in early 2010 and price will be dependent on how many people we have attending.

This course is really for the advanced shooter with quite a lot of experience in match shooting and you'd want to be at the advanced firearms skills level.

This course is really for the advanced shooter with quite a lot of experience in match shooting and you'd want to be at the advanced firearms skills level.

That shouldn't be the case if it is a basic NROI (Level 1) class.

You should have some match experience under your belt, a natural awareness of safety, and a desire to learn the USPSA rules.

Normally, the shooting aspect of the class is less about the shooting, and more about learning how to run shooters safely through a course of fire.

It's a two day course. The first day is spent in the classroom learning the rules and going through a workbook. The second day is spent on the range doing live fire practices running shooters. The first day is quite a bit longer, usually 6 to 8 hours. The second day is only a half day.
