I was told this was true so I thought I'd double check.

My friend states its perfectly legal to carry a loaded wepon in your car, even in your passenger seat as long as its in a Combo lock or key locked box. Even if you had the clip next to the gun in the lock box and not actually in the gun is this a legal means of carrying a gun? It seems it would be pretty easy to get access to if your needing a loaded gun in a hurry. What des the law state?

Wrong, the gun can not be loaded (assuming you don't have a CCW).

You can carry an unloaded handgun in a locked container along with a loaded magazine for the gun. The glove compartment or a utility compartment do not qualify as a locked container.
