Whats the difference if I threw a ball at a park and someone grabbed it and walked away with it or shooting at the range throwing brass. ESPECIALLY if I told someone hey its my brass and I want it back.
Now I have been known to pick up brass at the range BUT I always ask the shooters next to me if its ok to pick up their brass. if they are ok with it I take it if they say no I take my brass.
Either way if someone asked you NOT to pick up their brass dont do it.
That reminds me of a guy at burro range who woudl literally crawl on his stomach to pick up the brass you shot. he asked me if he can keep my brass and I told him no that I want it. He did not pick up my brass. maybe a ocasional empty case but no big deal

the authorities are not going to do squat>>>>>>>>>>>>> period with your photos etc, how about this. "I" dont want my taxpayer $$ spending $1500 or more to deal with someone's $what $50/1000 brass(223/45) If you cannot (I mean the shooter) deal with your brass then you are not mature enough to shoot.

I dare anyone here to post this question in the LEO section. What response do you really think you will get??

sweet so by this logic the cops should just sit in speed traps and give tickets all day cause investigating a murder is a waste of money too! along with a DNA test for a rape victim (those are pretty pricey i hear) what is sounds like is that If you cant realize that a crime is a crime (I mean the Poster) then maybe you are not a mature member of society!
My reaction to this situation would be a little crass for most members of this board but so be it.. After asking politely 3 times I would approach whoever appears to be the ring leader of this little thieving organization. Instruct him or her to call off the dogs if you will, and if is not obeyed in a reasonable amount of time the a fore mentioned ring leader would be on their lid and hog tied post haste and then the authorities called don't even bother with 911 Just call ICE

Look into a brass catcher for your firearm if it bothers you enough, thats what I did for my mini 14; although that was more to stop hitting people in the head with brass than for reloading.

I was going to say just punch the thieves in the face. Who cares, but "expensivehobbies" came up with a good sugestion...brass catcher. I'd still punch a thief in the face though. They don't need to understand English when they have a broken nose to remind them not to steal my stuff.

Then, Sir, we will give them the bayonet! (Stonewall Jackson's reply to Colonel B.E. Bee when he reported that the enemy were beating them back. At the first battle of Bull Run, July 1861)

Then yell nonsense like "BRAHHHHRARRRRRAAAARRRRRRAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Thats the icing on cake.
