    Stoeger tactical coach shotgun

Yay or Nay on this weapon for home defence, only two rounds at a time but even the wife could shoot it. Sorry no good at posting file pics.

    Does anyone have one.

    Yay, for laughs.

If "even the wife could shoot it" why can't she shoot a real HD shotgun. 2 shots is not enough for me personally, and whine all you want about how "only shot placement counts". I'll take my extra rounds as insurance. YMMV.

I have a Russian Baikal sxs. But I don't use it for home defense. You are limited to 2 rounds. Depending on the heat of the moment (read stess) and the level of training you or your wife have, fumbling to open and load two more rounds may eat up critical time.

My choice, if I decided to use a shotgun, would be the Ithaca 37 that I picked up from a Calguns member.

I saw this at Sheel's in Sparks....

        Kinda cool but rather useless.

I like it just for the fun factor. I wouldn't bet my life on it.

You probably practice and have some upper body strength. My wife could not reliably cycle a pump - she'd be stuck with ONE shot.

Get her a semi auto. Seriously how weak is she? Dude my 10 year old niece can pump and shoot a mossberg. granted its bird shot not 3 inch magnum slugs

Nothing wrong with sxs, but that just looks ridiculous!

X2 barrel side by side with tac rails seems kinda useless, and silly looking.

                    My choice:
Mossberg 500 with 7 round tube, pistol grip top folding stock, shell holding sling, ghost ring sights front and rear, heat shield, and when there are too many zombies I throw the 50 rnd bandolier over my shoulder and go.

She can't reliably cycle the slide of my Buckmark .22 - get the picture? She's not a 'gunny'; she lets me buy things, and I insist she learns to clear anything that comes into the house, and prove to me she can do it, but that's pretty much as far as she wants to go.

So, revolvers and SxS make sense.

If u already owned it, that would be one thing. Since you don't, it would not be my first choice. I personally prefer pump shotguns. If there is a recoil issue, just go with a 20 gauge pump. Don't laugh. They have the kinetic energy of two rounds of 44 magnum. Massad Ayoob wrote a very nice article about 20 gauges recently in Backwoods Home mag which you can google and read online.
