    Grip Tape?

I'm looking for that felty grip tape that advertises works better on sweaty hands. Anybody know what I'm talkin about?

Also - my wife is interested in shooting but she really likes impractical girly crap. I was wondering if i can find grip tape or gun accessories in leopard print or hot pink or something for her. She likes to put accessories on everything...

My wife uses it on both her competition and CCW guns. It's nice stuff.

By the way, it's cheaper if you buy from sources other than Brooks Tactical (almost $10 cheaper). I got my last couple of sets from Bestdefense.com for $22/each.

I use Mob Grip on my boards and guns now too. That stuff has some a very very high coefficient of friction and sweat does not seem to bother it too much. $5 is enough to cover a whole skateboard which is more than enough for all your handguns and rifles combined depending on how much you use.

I run A-grip on my glocks. I think you can get it in different colors/patterns but I don't know about leopard print! Contact Brooks tactical and see what they can do for you. I like it because it is grippy, non-abrasive as I carry IWB against my skin most of the time, and adds virtually no thickness to the gun. I do trim it down around the slide area so there is no chance of interfering with operation. It can be removed and will NOT damage the gun in any way. Any minor residue that remains can easily be cleaned up with a little rubbing alcohol. Just ask your wife to use her nail polish remover! My only complaint is if you use or carry the gun a lot you will see and feel the wear in as little as 6 months to a year. I've changed them out several times.

Skateboard tape is another popular choice that works and is cheap but can be abrasive to the hands, especially a woman's non-calloused hands!

I was able to remove the Mob Grip from my Remington 870 with no residue or damage to the forend. I usually only put on grip tape on polymer or plastic gun parts such as the plastic forend of the Rem 870, the grip of an XD45, or the polymer rail covers on an AR-15. I have not tested on Stainless or Blued metal to see if it is damaging at all.

I agree that the skateboard tape might be a little too abrasive for a woman's softer palm and may actually roughen up the skin with enough use. I already have rough enough hands from my various hobbies so it doesn't bother me.
