    Blazer Ammo

I know that Blazer Ammo is not allowed in any indoor ranges in the bay area, are there any outdoor ranges that allow Blazer. I understand Blazer is the cheapest practice ammo.

CCI Blazer also now is available as reloadable brass ammo, as well as the older original aluminum cased type.

The only one that specifically bans them is Targetmasters in Milpitas, AFAIK

Reed's in Santa Clara explicitly prohibits aluminum or steel case ammo. Look up Rule #13.

Why is this? I understand prohibitions against steel projectiles at indoor ranges but why cases?

Nothing to do with safety, etc. But steel or alum alloy case ammo is not reloadable. When they sweep the floors for brass to reuse/reload, they just don't wanna take extra time to separate out the Wolf and Blazer non-brass cases.

Jackson Arms in S. SF allows Blazers. At least I've shot Blazer ammo there without comments.
I do try to take my cases and throw 'em away so they don't mix in with the 'floor brass', just to make folks' lives easier. Usu I'm shooting Blazer in wheelguns so it's not a big issue for me....

BTW, Blazer alum. cased ammo is good stuff. Shoots & feeds well, quite accurate.
