Guns used in self defense (I'm a college student looking to interview)

Hello, I am currently a college student and am writing in defense of our rights to bear arms. I am looking to interview someone, either by phone or in person, that has used a firearm in self defense, whether to prevent robbery or to save one's life. Guns fired in self-defense, or is a display enough? Plenty of gun owners have prevented crimes from happening just by showing their guns to the would-be perps. But I imagine that far fewer people have had to actually fire their guns in self-defense.

You won't find a lot of people who have actually used their guns to defend themselves, rather than armed themselves in anticipation of some situation.
