Just talked my girlfriend, of 2.5 yrs, into going shooting with me!!!! Don't exactly know why but im stoked for her to finally say yes... a battle has been won! Now we just gotta get her to trade in some of those damn purses, and shoes for ammo

Not to steal your thunder, but i taught my GF to field strip my 1911 last night. You are well on your way.

Make sure to start her out with smaller calibers and light weight guns if she is petite. My GF doesn't like the bigger guns specifically because she has a hard time holding them steady, not necessarily because of the recoil.

Although she wanted nothing to do with the 4.1/8" barreled 44mag... Don't have any idea why... LOL

Definitely start her small. When I met my GF she was already a better shot than I, but I have gotten my mom into shooting. She was doing all fine and dandy shooting .22LR rifles and pistols. When I shot a .45 it still didn't bother her. When we went over to the 100 yard range, however, and I was going to see if what I taught her would get her to hit steel with the .22LR rifle, there was a guy shooting a bolt gun next to us in what I believe was 300 Win Mag. Scared the CRAP outta her. We had to go back the to pistol range the blast was just too much for her.

Now, she'll shoot my M1A.

I finally got my g/f to agree as well. But I guess I made her feel bad. She always asked me to go to stuff she wants to do/likes. And I ask her to go shooting and she goes on about how she has no interest in it. So I told her I go to do stuff she does that don't interest me. With a slight fight, I came out the winner..... or so I hope. lol.
