Shooting Range in Reno and Sparks area

Are there any shooting range both indoor and outdoor in the Reno and Sparks area?
Specially a place to shoot rifles...

      Good range, nice folks.

Had to use that because they closed my shooting area out in the desert by Patrick (Hwy 80, NW sice of road, ~18mi NE of Reno just below the Waltham plant).

There's a new indoor one but I guess you have to buy their ammo. Not sure of the name of it but there's a thread in the Hometown section of AR15.com

I'd be interested in hearing if you find another shooting area in the desert. I'd like to have one but don't want to waste a lot of time looking.

          Thanks.

Carson City isn't too far from Reno and the Carson City range out near the dump is nice. Last I new it went out to 300+ yards.

The Palamino Valley range is about 25 miles north of Sparks. It can be a great place to shoot when conditions are good. I've only shot the 1000 yard side though and it isn't open to the public. If you want a shooting spot in Ca, you can always get a key and use the Boca Shooting Facility, it's about a mile off 80 and not too far from Reno.

                    For great desert shooting -

Hop on 395 south towards Carson City. Take 341 to Virginia City. As soon as you get into town, hit a left onto Six Mile Canyon road and drive about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto the dirt road. There is a sign indicating a shooting area.

                    Awesome country out there!

Bump - got to keep this thread alive. Got a bachelor party coming up and before we get crazy as the Casinos, we want to get crazy in the desert with our Arsenals.
