Burro Canyon

Decided to check out Burro canyon range today. Had to wait for a table to open up but luckly only for 15 minutes. It was a pretty nice place. Had a shelter and tables and some chairs and the prices ain't so bad. Took with me my stag with 20" barrel and acog site another stag with varmit 24" and tasco site and my new XD45. Acog is an awsome scope!!! I look out to 200 yards no problem. I look at the ground in front of me no problem. No zoom and no messing with any adjustments. Freakin awsome scope! Tasco, well uhm ya its a piece of crap. hehe luckly I only paid a hundred for it so lesson learned move on. XD45 man its been a while since I shot a handgun and boy was it a hell lot of fun. Had very little kick to it too. Bad thing is I hope I don't get too addicted to it. Went through a 100 rounds in probably 20 minutes. hmm 28 bucks on ammo to use in 20 minutes don't look to good on future finances hahaha. All in all a very fun day at the range. Anyone in the OC area should check out Burro Canyon some time, its a pretty nice place. Next week I'm off to check out Angeles range.

I go to Burro all the time. its a pretty nice range. The overhang and the 200 yard range are pretty recent developments. it used to be a 100 yard range with some beat up tables with no cover or slab. they moved everything back 100 yds and poured a slab and built the cover. i was really surprised when i rolled up there after a month or so of not going and saw the improvements.

Now that SGVGC is closed down, ALL of the folks that used to shoot there now come to burro. So on weekends, its PACKED. i try to go on weekdays. Some weekdays you have the entire range to yourself. Pretty cool. matter of fact im going tomorrow to break in my new AR. There are some bad apples there but most of the shooters are decent.
