Which one?

There are a few things on my list to buy. I'm in the market for a Ruger mkIII 22/45, 6.8 barrel/bolt (already have other upper parts), misc. ammo (5.56,6.8,9mm,22lr), and a Lab/golden retriever puppy. Which one would you choose?

ps The Lab is adorable, and the right dog for me (sorry no pics of her yet). She goes up for adoption Monday.

Depends on what your plan is to do with it! If it were me I would go with the 6.8. ECVMatt has one for sale right now for a steal.

So far its the puppy. She is a pound dog, hopefully I can get her on monday when she becomes available.

If you really have a connection with the dog then get her
She will be a companion, alarm system and your defender..
The only way I'd say pass on a good dog is if you had no (zero) firearms.

Get the dog. Pound dogs have a finite life span, if you catch my drift. You can buy gun parts anytime.

Getting the Ruger MKIII would require a HSC, Check the "List", DROS Check, 10-day wait, Fingerprints, Sign paperwork, Show ID.

No one would have a pet if you had to do all that?
