Hi, I was wondering if an online Verizon phone bill printout would work as a form of showing proof of residency. Does it have to be the original bill that came in the mail or can that substitute?

Check with your FFL... it's their business.
I've encountered shops that will and shops that won't accept a printout.- Rich

It is your cell phone or land line? Typically most places don't take cell phone bills.Originally posted by luchador768We also had a lot of wannabe gangsters putting the display pistols down thier pants to "try them on.". If you bought a display handgun from the Riverside Turners in the 1990's there's a greater than average chance that there is cholo crotch on it.Comment

Whats this landline you guys speak of?? It's the 21st century I have a cell phone implanted in my head!
No joking aside. No go on Cell bills need to be landline bill. Cable bill works as long as its not satellite, Water bill, Garbage bill, PG&E or any other utility bill with an address, NO P.O BOX bill works unless it has your P.O and actual address on bill.Comment

It's my home phone landline, it has all of the info I need but my worry is the fact that Its a printout from my verizon online accout and not the original bill.Comment

I'm surprised they have such restrictions....when I got my first handgun, I didn't have any of the popular choices for secondary proof like water, electric, landline bill or even that car ownership paper. I told them the car was in my father's name and that I lived with my parents and didn't pay utilities(I did, but none of it in my name) and all the FFL asked me to write up on a blank piece of paper that "I am blah blah blah and I live with my parents and I do not pay utilities" and have one parent sign it and bring it before I pick up the handgun. With something as simple as a handwritten piece of paper, it's amazing that a online print out might not work.
I could have been lying and they wouldn't have been the wiser.Comment

It definitely depends on which FFL you're doing the DROS with. I actually somehow did not have my vehicle registration on me when I went to DROS a pistol and the guy at Turners (yes, Turners!) actually let me just login to my gas company online billing through their computer and printed it out from there! I was pleasantly surprised with the above-and-beyond service! (That's Turners in Kearney Mesa, for the record.)------------------------------------------------------------
iTrader protip: When I buy something from you and I immediately pay, then my part is done. That's all I have to do. You can leave me iTrader feedback and go on with your life. When I get the item, I will leave you iTrader feedback, assuming you've already done your part. See how that works?Comment
