So I arranged a trade with a calgunner (rino) for my Mini 30 in exchange for two hand-guns. Part of the conditions were that I drive up to Ammo Bros (about an hour) and we do the trade there. Rino calls Ammo Bros yesterday and explains the trade.
At first he was told, "No...you can only have one hand-gun every thirty days.". He explained the law and, after some research, they agreed. I think the exact quote was, "OK, no problem, come on down and we'll PPT them for you guys".
We show up today and luckily were granted access.
We set the rifle and hand guns down on the counter and were given a look like we just shat (passed tense) in his desk.
"Wassis?" the guy asked.
We explained what we were doing and we were told that PPT'ing TWO hand guns was "...by appointment only". WHAT? We pressed on and the manager came up and told us that there is a TON of "extra paperwork" for two handguns and that this "extra paperwork" can only be done by the store owner.
So we ended up driving to Turners in Corona and they took care of it....ever.....so....slowly....but it was done. It turned out to be ok because we learned that Turners was now selling a pretty decent assortment of black rifles.
