Outdoor range near Del Mar

Is there an outdoor range near Del Mar? I am looking for a range with a 50 and 100 yard range.

What do you define as "near"? Within 30 miles? Yes.

There are some opportunities in east and south county, but for a shorter outdoor rifle and pistol range, I'd think Escondido Fish and Game would be fine (members only-private, but you can get in as a guest or during open to public shoots) and Pala a little farther up in the hills.. I think you need to buy a membership for pala also, but it is less than ef&g.

otherwise project 2000 (between el cajon and jamul) or southbay rod and gun club (way out past jamul). I think there are fees for non-members here maybe $15-$20 cover charge to keep the riff raff out

we like to drive out the 8 and set up are own targets and let the kids shoot. a lot of the ranges dont let kids shoot under the age of 10
