Bullet Button "button"

I saw a device at a Cow Placae gun show that was a magnetic button that fit into, and over the bullet button. Made of plastic with a magnet in the middle, cost $30. It would act like a temporary fixed device to actuate the mag latch, but could be removed to remain legal with your rifle configuration. The guy selling them told me he had like $10000.00 invested in this thing.

My question is, who would be comfortable with this thing? Could an overzealous LEO interpret it as subverting the law, as a readily detacheable mag?

Would you use such a device, and if so, would you pay $30 for it?

Ya, it'll cost you a lot more than $30. When attached, it becomes a part of the gun, temporarily making the gun an AW. Guarantee you that if your gun is ever seized, every evidence photo of it will have the button in place.

Say I guy has a rimfire upper and a centerfire upper... he can have this button handy, while using the rimfire upper right? Or would "constructive possession" apply here? One of those things that if you have the button, you SHOULD not have a CF upper, and vice versa?

No constructive possession on assault weapons, but without the rimfire upper installed, I would not have the magnetic "tool" even in the case or the range bag. It's just too slippery of a slope with some agencies.

Just go with a Raddlock... it can easily be converted between "tool free" and "tool required"... but it requires a tool to do it, as well as someone with some familiarity with the device, so it is highly unlikely that a cop will disable it.

Honestly, if I ever move out of California, I'm going to leave the BB on my Calguns lower just as a reminder of this state's BS.
