Lead from batteires for guys who make bullets

Hey i just thought of something for guys who need lead for bullets. We replace batteries at work on these panels that require back up batteries. they are small 12 v 7 amp hr batteries. Anyway they are sealed non spillable batteries.
We usually take them to one of the supply houses and leave them there for recycling but if any of you guys want some to cut open and remelt LMK and Ill start saving them for you. I usually get anywhere from 3-4 a week and also can get them from the other guys. its a pretty decent amount of lead if you can use it. each battery is probably about 4-5 pounds. its basically a block of lead about 3 inch tall 3 inch deep and 5-6 inch wide.
I can start saving them for anyone who wants them prefer to have it picked up cause i dont wanna really ship them. if one of you guys wants to pick them up and give to other members feel free.

So PM me if you want some. Most of these cannot be reused caus they are past their useful life. Some can be used but really wont hold a charge for long
    Thanx
    Rob

I don't think it's as easy as just pulling them apart and taking the lead out, but I could be wrong.

This is one of those deals that just seems like a really obvious good idea, but isn't.

One of the really great side effects is an arsenic gas compound called stibnine. Bad juju.

Thanks for thinking of us though.

I have decided that in a real SHTF senerio and after I've depleted all my other lead sources, I will attempt to use battery lead. Of course, I doubt it will ever come to that.

It won't slide out, but it's easy. When I was a kid we used to take apart batteries, get the lead, and melt it into molds for custom made pendants.

I'm talking about dealing with the various acids and chemicals present in your average battery.

You drain it before you go into it. Then use water to neutralize what's left.

                  It's really not that dangerous.
