On Wednesday morning at about 1:50am, the Concord Police were called to the 1600 block of Allegro Avenue regarding a possible home invasion robbery.
Lt. Steve Dyer tells us several assault rifles were stolen from one man, whose roommate was home at the time of the robbery....
Two male suspects stole several long rifles, along with an AK-47 and MP-5 assault rifles. The suspects fled the area in a white van.
During the investigation officers located an illegal assault rifle hidden in the house. When the victim/resident arrived home, he was arrested on the felony charge of possessing an assault weapon as well as possession of a controlled substance.
The name of the man arrested is John Tinay, he's a 42-year-old Concord resident.
