    sightron scopes, quality?

I was wondering if these sightron scopes are good or just overpriced china/russian junk?

I had a 4-16x50 Mildot. It was a pretty good scope. Sold it off to fund another project. Sightron has a good warranty, too. My friend bought one used and it wasn't tracking properly. He emailed Sightron and they said to mail it in and they replaced it with a brand new scope.

I've got the SI1 3-9X40 with the mil dot. Its clear and worth the $110 I paid. It sits on a 223 and has been out in the field and has held its zero.... I'm happy for the time being.

I've heard good things about the Sightron scopes, placing it quality-wise around the Burris Fullfield or the Leupold VX-II scopes. I've not looked at one yet, might consider it next time I'm looking for a scope though.

Very high quality. There's a guy here selling a NIB Sightron for a pretty good deal, IIRC.

I have a couple, and find them utterly satisfactory. Good light gathering, sharp optics, and just about the only decent mildots in their class. Comparison above to Fullfields or VX-2's is probably about right.

Wow!, comparing to a leo is pretty dang good.I just am looking for the best value in a long-distance (20power variable) scope for my .30-06 bull barreled blaster. The rifle has earned my respect and functions perfectly, now it deserves a decent scope.

I have a SII4-16x42mm on my .22-250. Awesome scope for the money, with repeatable zero when using the target turrets for their designed use.

I know, I thank my lucky stars every night before bed.

I was really surprised to see any rockchucks that early in the year. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow and all the chucks around the country must have agreed. Just two nights before it was around 20 degrees at night. Anyway, I saw about 8 on the 4th, but wasn't planning on shooting any because I like them to breed and have babies first. Since I hadn't shot any chucks since 2000, you'd think I'd want to shoot every one I saw. I don't have a problem with shooting squirrels, and my sons and their cousins heard me shoot one and came running back to where I was. They wanted to go to the back and shoot some more stuff. My 7 year old had never seen a rockchuck, so I had to shoot just one so he could find out. Of course, we had no camera, so we had to carry this one 1/2 mile to the house.
