About time. The DPM pattern was developed during the Cold War for warfare in a European theater. This is now very unlikely to happen again, and all future engagements for the British Army is likely to be far from home. It does however look remarkable like Crye Precision Multi-cam. A licensing agreement possibly?

I figured that they have become such a nanny driven country that they would look something like this....

I like it better than what the U.S. Army wears. I know because i've worn the U.S. Army uniform and the ACU can be spotted easily in jungle/woodland enivornment. Its o.k. for desert, but it's supposed to be universal. The brits look like they got it good. Nothing is 100%, but they are on the right track.

It pretty much nixes the US officially adopting Multicam on any large scale. We love to stand out as a country.

It's not perfect for everything, but it's "good enough..."

Thanks for the link. The article does confirm it was developed by Crye Precision for the British. Interesting.

The German camo is the Troppentarn. It's the Germans' current desert camo. It's been around for years. It's basically Flecktarn with desert colors.

The US Army had their chance when they trialled Multi-cam years ago, and rejected it in favor of ACU. Crye are a private company. If the US military don't want their product, they have to find someone who does. It's the way of capitalism.
