Another Firearm Recovered!

Also hope that the P.D took care of them also. When they get guns in bulk, they usualy throw them all together in a bag, box or barrel. I have seen this first hand but they were guns going to the melter. Garbage cans full of nice firearms. Hope they return in good shape. Well I guess just getting them back at all is good enough. This should be a lesson to anybody else to log your serial numbers and firearm dicriptions and put that list in a safe place. Photos help too......Cowboy Action Shooter

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

The card talks about a DOJ Firearm Eligibility letter which I assume is a COE. As a dealer, I should not have a problem picking up my own property but after the fiasco to get the Camp 9 back (96 days), I always expect the worst with SPD. It's almost like giving me back my own property is a real big pain in the *** because it's a firearm. I will keep this thread open until the bitter end!sigpic

My uncle had a his browning safe packed up onto the back of his tacoma pickup in the garage and hauled off in broad daylight. They essentially cleaned out the house and took his truck also. Cops found the safe ripped open with probably a pneumatic jack or pry bar and truck like a week later. This happened like 8 yrs ago. No firearms was ever recovered. Good Luck and hope you get all your toys back!"Screw U guys, I'm going home"...:the great Eric Cartman

I had a gun confiscated once, I didn't have any problems getting it back. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

My Beretta Model 21 in .22 caliber. Blue. Here is a pic of a similar pistol:

It's not on the roster and I had totally forget about it! I am happy to see it again. I recently tossed the original box, dang it! I will still have to jump through the same hoops as anyone else to get my own property back. No exemption for dealers.
If you do not have a list of your firearms with SN's kept separate from the safe, please take the time to do so. If your guns depart like mine did, you will be happy later. It can't happen to you, right? Think again.sigpic

Quote=gbp, did they pack off your safe or what?
Was your safe bolted down and how much did it weight? Was wondering because I want to know if a 400lb safe bolted to the floor is sufficient enough to deter thieves or if they can still take it from my house.Comment

I was in a rental so it was not bolted down. The weight? Not heavy enough! It was a 60x36x24 safe.sigpic
