The cups of rifle primers are thicker metal (.020" vs .017") and so they are harder than pistol primers so you might get some misfires. If your loads are near maximum you could get increased pressure to above maximum if you are loading at a starting to midrange load the pressure difference should not be dangerous but they will shoot differently than the pistol primered loads.Frank
