    Which Bipod?

New to bi-pods, never had one, but have a couple of rifles that I would like to put them on.
The first rifle is a OLL varminter, with 24" barrel, and it has the stud.
Anything special, or can I go to Wally world, and buy what they have hanging on a rack?
The second is a Sigarms LRS2, same question as above, always have used a sand bag, or the support on my portable table, but I now want to try a bi-pod, and have no experience.

I would also recommend a harris bipod. I have one on my 24" varmint and also a versa-pod on my other varmint gun. Both have been working fine for me.

the Tango Down Bipod is another excellent choice.

VLTOR will have their own version soon.

Harris bipod for the varmint rifle. Parker-Hale or Versa-Pod for the Blaser LRS2

Models BR, or L or swivel, which is more useful, and which one do you guys use?
Same question for the versa pod, which ones are you guys using that you like, or am I making this more difficult then it should be?
Just looking at all the different models is amazing.
I will be using these primarily for Prone, and Bench, but I don't want anything to cumbersome.
            Any suggestions?

I think the L is the best size for my shooting. The BR is just that, a benchrest bipod. I've found that it doesn't elevate my barrel enough for prone shooting, but then again, I'm a pretty big guy with a big gut pushing me skyward when I'm prone.

BR is fine for benchrest and prone shooting. The L is good if you plan on hunting and sit down injun style with your torso facing the game.

I use a Stoney Point Pole Cat compact bipod for that.

I currently have the Model "L" Series "S" and that's the one I would recommend. If you're shooting anyting other than bech rest, you're going to need the "S" for uneven ground. The "L" will be required especially if you're shooting prone and your target is not perfectly horizontal to you. I had the Model BR and sold to somebody that shoots bench rest only. You'll probably just end up using that bipod fully extended anyways. Pay a little more for the swivel model if you think you'll be shooting anything besides bench rest.

Get the swivel model Harris and put a pod-loc on it.
