    Duncan's Gunworks selling CALGUNS LOWERS!

I went into Duncan's Gunworks to shoot the breeze for a bit and I discovered that Duncan's is now, FINALLY, AFTER 1.5 YEARS OF BUGGING THEM... SELLING LOWERS!

And not just normal lowers, but CALGUNS LOWERS!

Apparently, the owner of JD Lowers came in and persuaded them to start carrying them.

Ah, but the question is, How much? I know a couple of stores here in San Diego that have carried both the Calguns and the regular Kaiser/JD lowers. At 2-3 times the price I can get by just going down to JD. Carrying them is one thing. Carrying them at a reasonable price is another. Don't get me wrong, I have had fairly good experiences with Duncan's over the past 10-15 years. But some of their prices can be a bit steep. Not always, but sometimes.

they wanted to charge me $60 to install just the rear novak sight on my 1911. I mailed the slide to STI in Texas, and they did it for free in 5 minutes. (im not good at getting things to fit well)

They are a little high at 150 but the fact is that they FINALLY took the plunge.

I didn't buy any, as I am saving my money for more important endeavors at the moment. I am pretty well armed as it is at the moment so I am just acquiring other goodies and x-mas gifts.

However, if that 99+dros deal happens at the next gun show, I just might drop cash for it...

Why wait for the gun show? Give them (JD Machine) a call and go get one. As for already being pretty well armed, what has that got to do with anything? Most of us are pretty well armed compared to several banana republics in South America. That is never a good enough reason not to get "just one more"...

I'll never do business with Duncans, personally. They blew it on some 'smithing a while back, and that was enough for me.

I'll spend my money elsewhere. They're one shop I wouldn't mind seeing disappear.
                      Yeah.

                      I'm pissed.
WTB: Rhodesian A5 FN 12G Shotgun...ah, never mind. Prices have become stupid...
WTB: FN FS2000..don't care anymore about this one either.

Because I can't say "brickel-brit" to a donkey to make it puke gold? That's a pretty good answer right there...
