    Sales Feedback in forums

OK been on here awhile and until this week never had what I consider bad dealings so asking advice here. I mean my luck has always been very good on here until now. Maybe its the totality of the recent dealings that have ticked me off a bit so no names and no negative feedback before I think about it somemore

    Here is sample
    1. Get PM and PM says "Would you trade blank for blank" I answer yes and then its "Let me think about it" Then a series of questions over several days. That is potential buyer number one. To me if you offer to trade you ahve already done your thinking and have committed as long as the other parties goods are as advertised?

    2. Another sales thread. PM says "I will trade you a brand new complete Colt 6940 upper for your FAL and 150.00 cash from you" I say yes. I then have to wait three days, because he is out of town, to meet up with him. Then I go 40 miles round trip, to meet guy and guess what I see old beat up Bolt carrier and bolt with worn out gas rings in new upper. He then says "The upper came without a bolt so I put this one in" I explain that its not new, its the wrong parts for that upper and its worn out. He should have told me that before. His response is "You can back out if you like" Now I dont know about you guys but "Complete new upper: does not mean new with worn out bolt and carrier to me? I said I would do deal without the added 150.00 so I could buy new bolt and carrier and he said no. By the way AR/M16 Armorer here so when I say it was worn out it was, but covered in a very thick layer of oil.

    3. Potential deal number 3. PM "Hey I will trade you this scope for your scope" I say yes and now four days later he still has not responded to PMs, so I am selling to someone else. To me in offer to trade means your serious.

Now in past I never got messed around on here like this. Is this just my luck this time or is something else going on lately, that others have also seen?

Thoughts? Am I over reacting here? Again I dont want to post names but is this now the norm here?

This is typical of late. Persons 1 & 3 are just flakes but 2 is eligible for negative feedback in my opinion.

I've been here for a long time now, and have only started running across flakes in the past few months. Prior to that, I had nothing but 100% success. Don't know if something's changing around here, or I've just had a small run of bum luck.

The only one I'd really be pissed about is #2. #1 I look at as a feeler. #3 because of the wording seems more concrete, but it wouldn't be that big a deal if I never heard back.

I've completed quite a few transactions on Calguns, including a number in the last few weeks and have never run across this type of thing. I think the vast majority of calgunners are honest and straight up.

In terms of your experiences, the individual from transaction #2 needs some serious negative feedback for what was (based on the story posted) effectively an attempt at fraud.

For several reasons, I refuse to get involved with "trades" we could probably write a book about different scenarios

If you don't give them a negative feedback, we may be their future victims! BURN EM!!!
