The rear most one is his VFG...thats where he like his at.

If he used that SF that far back he would have shadow issues.

    So he uses 2.

That guy has more status than most anyone on this board. He IS an operator and knows what he needs to shoot bad guys. If that's what he needs, than that is the hot set up.

You watch.... Were gonna start seeing his set up on guys " SHTF" safe queens which will never see dirt or get fired now.

              Correct.

The Surefire was private purchased, but the Grip Pod is now an issue item.

You can personalize your weapon to a point. Basically, as long as the item does not interfere with the weapons operation, and is mostly compatible with issue items, their use is "tolerated" but can be frowned upon.

Not necessarily, I was issued one of those. Found it horribly uncomfortable though and swapped it out with a personal surefire and standard forward grip. If I didn't have a different one to swap out I might have done the same thing.

Those are Marines....best riflemen in the world. I don't think he gives a furry rat's azz what anyone thinks of his set up.

Edit: Is it sick of me to say that 240 gives me a woody? I thought so....oh well.

I have sat behind the trigger of a 240 golf many times and I would take it over any other mounted weapons system.

The Ma Duece and Mark 19 are fun and all.... But nothing clears between the stakes better than the 240.

I wasn't making fun of the soldier, just poking fun at what might become the next coolest "must have" tacticool fad.

                            Most definitely agreed on this.

Yeah, be seeing this setup at the ranges any day now, and nobody will know exactly why they have it set up like that except for one particular Marine.
