    Any help with pro-gun info!

A friend at work(female), is going to school to become a LEO. So the other day we where talking and I asked her were she standed on some issues. With her trying to be a LEO, I was curious.....

So I asked her about gun ownership. Even tho she supported gun ownership, she believes in more gun restrictions. One point she made was gun accidents, like they happen regulary and people who have children shouldn't have guns....I countered most of what she said but our conversion had to end, but its not over!!!!!!

So the debat begins: Any infomation I can use/download would help......I need to open her mind before they brain wash her......

She's right, accidents do happen....actually did happen a few times and now the liberals claim it's a daily thing. People who have kids should be more careful, and they need to teach their kids respect. What it boils down to though is ignorance and stupidity on the part of the parents. You can't blame a gun for anything, it's a mechanical device. It will only do what the person holding it wants it to do. Guns these days rarely have an accidental discharge, and i'm willing to bet that there was human involvement 100% of the time.
Remind her that there isn't 1 cop for every person. not even for 10 people or 100 people. In reality, at any given time the closest cop could be 6 minutes or more away from you.
This is a link to a bill in the House of Representatives called HR17. It's known as "The Citizens Self Defense Act of 2009" and it brings up really good points about why all law abiding citizens should have the right to own guns.
    Hope it helps!

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

      Oh my.

      Principal source for things: http://www.guncite.com/

Statistics about gun accidents - which are extremely rare - at CDC's WISQARS.
ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
