    BLM question

    Heres the question:

is there a certain distance you must have when shooting on BLM land, between yourself and any structures (houses, buildings, etc)

This question is for BLM in Arizona, if anyone can push me in the direction of where to look i'd appreciate it.

I'm browsing through AZ blm website but cant find anything.

    THanks,

150 yards ...... a bit more to it tho and you are subject to other regional laws and regulations.

Yea i saw that, thank you. My biggest concern is the first part:

"Does not create a public hazard, public nuisance or direct threat to public safety and use. (Title 43 CFR Sec. 8365.1 ~ (a)(1)&(2)"

my house in Bullhead City is backed up right against BLM land. Its about 250-300 yards long & wide of BLM land between our house & the river....just didnt know how if there was a specific distance I had to be from houses.

Guess I'll call before I head up for new years.

There generally are other rules that are common sense: no shooting acrosss a road or body of water, or in some OHV designated areas... Contact the local BLM office.

Call the local Sheriff office. I did that when I was in New Mexico and man......what a difference.

The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.
