Disney grandson arrested on gun charge

I didn't see this already posted, thought it was interesting as it will more then likely have a negative impact on gun rights.

The grandson of Walt Disney was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of illegal gun possession, police said.

Patrick Disney Miller, 42, was taken to jail after police served a search-and-arrest warrant at his Woodland Hills home, a Los Angeles Police Department.

Miller was booked on possession of a firearm by a felon and illegal ammunition sales, police said.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office filed a felony warrant against Miller on Monday alleging possession of ammunition, said Jane Robison of the DA's office.

According to the sheriff's department, Miller was released late Wednesday night, and his next court appearance was scheduled for Dec. 31 in Van Nuys Superior Court, Div. 100.

Not many people think felons should have firearms. I don't think this will matter one bit.

I haven't seen anything that says what the original felony was for.
It must have been something bad enough that all that money couldn't erase.

I also didn't know he was a felon.

What I mean as this will be another media circus revolving around someone being arrested for being in possession of firearms which might get people started in on how easy it is for felons to get a hold of guns and thus we should have more restrictions.

It doesn't matter. If a motorcyclist does 160 and injures a baby, obviously he's breaking the law, but there will be consequences from some groups calling for speed limits or other restrictions. It's how knee jerk reactions go, they don't require logic.

It should be used to show that felons will get guns no mater what the laws are. Only us law abiding folks will be shut out, or become felons for getting our own guns, to protect us from the previously convicted felons.

If the cops are looking into you enough to even want to get a warrant...

I'm related to Walt Disney (not by blood though). What can I say? Possession of firearms and ammo just runs in that family lineage.

Illegal ammo sales? What is that about?

Maybe he was charging to much

Do ammo sales violate some city ordinance or is ammo sales by a felon a crime?
On the firing line- depending on the day, determines which side of the line I'm supposed to stand on!
