Why do I hate scopes?

I'm liking the lower power scopes the more I shoot. I used to think that the huge 8-32x56 monsters were great because they "looked" cool and you could really zoom in but after shooting a bunch with them, I like the 3-9's and the 1-4's a lot better now. for target shooting primarily, a good 4-16 or 6-24 is really nice with fine crosshairs and holdover marks for long range but outside of varmint, and target shooting I stick to irons or lower power scopes now. With the exception of the EOtech I don't really consider a scope as much as a sight.

even with my 6-18 scope i find my self usually staying to the lower half of ts power. the max i use regulary is 12. because thats where its set for mil dot.
