its something the great state of NJ makes you wait 3 MONTHS FOR!!!!! yea thats right 3 but the trooper say maybe 4!!! And why do you ask? Well there is no reason, the only reasonable answer is LAZYNESS!!!! I have LE family who can get thier permits signed and ready that day. But no mine goes through State Police and has to go from one station to the trenton then from trenton back down to the station to be picked up. All this just for a stamp of the big mans signature. Even crazier the law here says that it will take no longer than 30 days, but when i asked about that a state trooper in the unit told me, sir that law has been debated and its not meant to be taken literally. 
please people if you love your 2nd amendment rights stay far far far away from NJ! I even got a lady to come to terms with me and tell me that the state police is basicly to lazy to do the paperwork, that they would rather be out on the road instead. such BS!
