Dublin CA Gun & Knife Shop

So I stopped in to check out if these guys have anything as they had mostly knives when they first opened up. They did have many handguns and what looked like a number of rifles on the walls. Many of the price tags had two prices listed - a price - assumed to mean by credit card or other means, and a cash price. One rifle on the wall caught my attention - it was some sort of Bushmaster M4 type rifle. The price was something like $1,099, and if you paid cash it was $1098 .

He had a good supply of Remington golden bullet 22lr bulk packs for $27 - a few $$ high but who else has in stock now.

Lastly he was trying to peddle me what he called high end Nato 9mm luger ammo that as he stated, is being used by our troops in the war. Super deadly stuff as he called it. Each quantity of rounds, assumed 50, is wrapped in tan paper with a single twine string tied around it - I assume for quick opening in the field by our troops . Not much in the way of marking on the package, just a few characters in green, and I did find the mark "POF" - hmm Pakistani, thanks but I'll pass.

So boys, check the store out when your in the area and looking for something to see.

Mehh. Last time I was in there, I met a guy to do a ppt. They opened an hour late. Then the guy in there didn't know how to do a ppt.

    Haven't been back.

They seem to be nice. A good selection of pistols. Prices seemed about average, except that the FN FNP-9 was $700.

If you pay in cash, they give you discounts. Usually $20 or so for most guns.

The times I have gone there, they had the following rifles:

      GSG-5
      Walther "Colt" M4 .22
      VZ-58 (probably top loading)
      Mosins
Stripped AR-15 lowers (out of sight behind the counter, against the wall)
Bushmaster AR-15 (most likely the top loading one)

And then your average 10/22, Marlin .22s, and pump shotguns. Prices were around the same as the Big 5 right by it.

If you want a pistol or knife, they're a good place to stop by. If you're looking for long guns, they are lacking.

Not the place to go if you want to do a PPT, I refuse to give them any business, even after giving them 3-4 tries. (read, second chances) Bad attitude, and Holier-Than-Thou sanctimonious attitude I can do without. Nothing like being treated like a 2nd class citizen who has 3k in cash to spend on guns for the kids. My favorite quote from them. . . ." I cant show you that, you arent law enforcement, and they are the only ones I can sell it to. . . ." Yet, it was my first time in the store, and im in a business suit with a conservative crew cut.
Personally, I hope they read this and realize how much business they lost with me.

The guy trying to peddle that "Nato Stuff" is full of it. Was he a East Indian with long hair? That 9mm "Our Troops are using" was made in 1980 in Pakistan long before any U.S. involvement.
I have had dealings with that guy when he used to sell knives out the back of his car. His philosophy is "What ever it takes to make the sale"

I believe that's the owner of the business -

I've been there a few times for a look see - Not much in terms of inventory -

They have very limited times as in the days and hours they'll do PPT - Not on Sat -

Looks like you all had worse experiences then me over there.

Thanks to the heads up for PPTs. I'll stick to J&R for that.

Thats him . I was being a smart-@# in my post. I new that stuff was not used by US forces, and that it was from Pakistan.
