NEED SOME HELP GUYS AND GALS

I need to find out if the Romanian FPK is legal in Kalifornia. I have a chance at a good price for a U.S. made receiver and a Romanian kit. I would love to put one of these together but don't want to get the receiver here and find out I cannot DROS it. It seems nobody makes a bare receiver flat or bent up receiver that I could build up myself so this is the only way to get one. ANYONE KNOW OUT THERE? I would certainly appreciate any assistance. If it is legal, where would I look to verify for the FFL. The FFL that ran the paperwork on my last build (VZ58) knew that machined receiver was OK but says he does not know if the FPK is good or not.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.
Merry Christmas to all on the board and may 2010 be a better one for gun owners in the PRK.

Hi Ron. Yes they're legal in the correct CA compliant configuration. Are you referring to the TGI group buy for the parks kit and receivers? They will ship both to you in CA (rec. goes to your FFL).

You could also just order a complete and compliant rifle from Henderson Defense or Atlantic Firearms.

The hardest part about getting these OLL rifles into CA is finding a OLL friendly dealer.

How is the FPK different from the PSL?

Anyway, if you get the U.S. made receiver and put a pistol grip on it, you will need to get a mag lock.

Same rifle, different name. Usually happens when a different importer takes over.

          Some are:
          Romak 3
          FPK Dragunov
          PSL

Thanks for the info. You are correct in that I was looking at the TGI deal. I am trying to contact other board that is running the deal to see if it is still valid. $400 for a ready to shoot system is a good deal. Add another $150 for a 6X Russian scope and a really nice deal.
            Thanks again for the help.
