El Dorado County - Private Property Shooting Allowed?

I searched but to no avail.

I'm looking for any ordinances/laws etc. describing what is and isn't allowed in El Dorado County as far as target shooting goes (on private property).

Anyone happen to know if they have feet limits? Acres? etc.

    Thanks,

    Shane

Here is the El Dorado county ordinances. Look in Title 9, especially Chapter 9.44.

You might also want to scan around through all of it to be sure there isn't some oddball ordinance that is applicable but not where you would expect it to be.

I hunt in El Dorado Co. As long as you are on private land and observe the required distances from public roads and occupied buildings you should not have a problem.

Other than the National Forest restrictions for distances (NFS doc's), I see nothing in the muni code that defines what they need to be for private land.

          Anyone know more?

Most of the gun shops here should know the jist of those Regs. Especially Newtown Firearms, they supply a lot of LEO around here. They are usually friendly and helpful.
