Joined the NRA today. Been putting it off for one reason or another. Usually money. I couldn't resist today. At the SJ gun show, I was approached by an NRA volunteer. For 25 bucks (instead of 35), I became a member. Got into the show free without waiting in line, and got a new hat too!
I urge everyone to go to the booth at the entrance of the gun show and sign up. It is a great deal and every little bit helps.

I have been a life member since I was 18 and started buying my own guns.
Go with the extended pay deal, 25 bucks every 3 months until it's payed off.
I paid off my life membership about 14 years ago.
