    I need handgun training...

Looking for a good handgun training program.

Sorry if I'm beating dead horse.

Been thinking lately of getting professional self-defense hand gun training. I think every gun owner should learn or continue to learn how to effectively use their handgun in life-threatening situations. My goal to start off in the basics and work my way up.

Can you please recommend an excellent training program in Southern Cali?

    I hope this helps others.

    Thanks.

    Come see me.

Amateurs train until they get it right. Professionals train until they can't get it wrong.

I did a class with TFTT....they seems very squared away. They mostly work in socal but come up to sac valley for a couple of weeks a year.

Most indoor ranges offer the training. The armed guard course was fun.

LMS Defense is a coordinated group of professional weapons and tactics instructors. We provide training to concerned citizens as well as law enforcement and special tactics teams both here in the United States and in friendly foreign nations.

                            Greg,

Fred at Sharpshooters in Torrance is a really good trainer; his entry level handgun course would be a good option for you. I've been in several classes with Fred (in which Fred was a student) and have also taken one of his handgun clinics, and I have no reservations recommending him.

TFTT is also a good bet although even their entry level handgun course is somewhat fast paced. I think you would get more out of TFTT with some prior training.

Haven't been to ITTS but I want to!

Besides the local trainers, there are some good traveling instructors who come through town regularly, John Farnam in particular. He's beginner friendly and his courses are rock solid. www.defense-training.com

                            Hope this helps!

what exactly is "entry level handgun"?

I see this class offered, but what the heck is it?
