    Storing With Chamber Flag

Does storing a firearm with a chamber flag (just like Springfield's come in the box) do any harm to the firearm?

i cant imagine a hunk of plastic harming the gun anymore than the violent action cycle when it operated

Nope. But those things will wear out quick if you use it often.

Just store the firearm without it. Throw it away or toss it back in the box and leave it there.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

I use chamber flags at the matches only.

There's nothing wrong with an empty chamber indicator during storage. Many manufacturers will ship semi-auto rifles and pistols with one in place, and the bolt resting on it.

I use ECIs when I'm at any range. I have several types and I keep extras on hand in case someone needs one when it's mandated.
